The Importance of Recreation

In order to pursue a healthy, balanced lifestyle, we must learn to prioritize recreation (and all that falls under it’s heading). Sports participation, hobbies, and hangouts are great contributors to maintaining stability, both physically and mentally speaking. We as Americans often get swept up in the whirlwind that is life; our responsibilities and even relationships win first place, when in reality our own well-being should take the gold medal. You might be thinking to yourself, “isn’t that selfish?” The answer is no – not at all! If our lives were in shambles, we wouldn’t have the time, resources, or energy to take care of others! Let’s value our physical health, our mental health, and our overall well-being!
